Privacy policy
La Perla is an app for discovering Margarita, unlocking benefits at partner businesses, using a pass and earning Perla Points. This page explains what data of yours we handle, why, who we share it with and what you can do about it.
1. Who handles your data
The data controller is VIVID CODE, C.A, tax ID (RIF) J-508800354, registered with the Registro Mercantil Primero del Estado Nueva Esparta under number 21, volume 99, year 2026, with registered address at Urbanización Dumar Country Club, parcela N.º 25-26-27, entre calles B y C, torre A, piso 2, apto. 23, Porlamar, municipio Mariño, Margarita, Nueva Esparta state, Venezuela. For anything about your data, write to info@laperlaapp.biz.
2. What we collect
We don't collect anything "just in case". Every item below is asked for by a specific feature.
| Data | Where it comes from | What for |
|---|---|---|
| Email, name, profile picture, encrypted password | You, when you sign up | Creating your account and identifying you |
| Your Google or Apple account identifier and its email | Google or Apple, if you sign in with them | Signing in without a password. We never receive your password for those services |
| Passes bought, their validity and history | Your purchases | Knowing which benefits you're entitled to |
| Redemptions: which benefit, at which business, when, and how much you saved | Every time you redeem | Your savings history, the daily limits and settling with the business |
| Perla Points: balance and movements | Your activity in the app | Challenges, passport stamps and redeeming with points |
| ID number, phone and bank | You, only when paying with C2P or mobile payment | Running and verifying that charge with the bank |
| Favourites | You, when you save a business | Showing them to you later |
| Device identifier for notifications | Your phone, if you allow alerts | Sending you notifications. You can revoke it from your system settings |
| Technical data: IP address, device type, language, timezone | Automatically, as you use the app | Security, rate limits and showing things in your language |
About your redemption history
This one deserves its own note: knowing where and when you redeemed says a fair amount about where you go. We use it for what you see in the app —your savings, your challenges— and to settle with the business what it is owed. We do not sell it or hand it to anyone for advertising.
3. Who we share it with
Nobody beyond what the app needs to work:
- The business where you redeem: your name, the benefit and the amount. That's what it needs to serve you and balance its books.
- Google and Apple: if you sign in with them, to verify it's you.
- Firebase (Google): to deliver notifications to your phone.
- Resend: to send account and redemption emails.
- Amazon Web Services: where images are stored.
- Your bank and the business's bank: only the payment details, when you pay with C2P or mobile payment.
- Authorities: where the law requires it.
We do not sell your data or pass it to third parties to advertise to you.
4. How long we keep it
- Your account: as long as it exists. Delete it and we delete your personal data.
- Redemptions and payments: kept even if you delete the account — they are transactions with a business and a bank, and there are accounting duties behind them. They are unlinked from your identity as far as the law allows.
- Technical and security data: weeks, not years.
- QR codes and sessions: minutes. They delete themselves.
5. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete your account and your data, with the limit in section 4.
- Send you a copy of your data.
- Stop sending you emails or notifications, without losing the account.
Write to info@laperlaapp.biz from your account's email address. We answer within 30 days at most.
6. Security
Passwords are stored encrypted, never in the clear. Traffic goes over HTTPS. Sessions can be closed remotely, and QR codes last under a minute and work once. Even so, no system is infallible: if we detect a breach that affects you, we'll tell you.
7. Minors
La Perla is not aimed at under-18s and we don't knowingly create accounts for them. If we find one, we delete it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we update the date above and, when the change matters, we tell you in the app before it takes effect.
